Words I find interesting and/or fun to say.
- bailiwick - a person's specific area of knowledge, authority, interest, skill or work
- hardscrabble - providing or yielding meagerly in return for much effort
- sarcophagus - a stone coffin
- fiddlesticks - (used to express impatience, dismissal, etc.)
- at loggerheads - in dispute with
- fisticuffs - a cuff (blow with open hand) made by the fist, a.k.a. a punch
- lucubration - laborious work, study, thought, etc. especially at night
- sinuous - having many curves, bends or turns, winding; also indirect, devious
- foofaraw - excessive or flashy ornamentation; also, a fuss over a trivial matter
- scuttlebutt - gossip; rumor
- galumph - to move in a clumsy manner or with a heavy tread
- hirsute - covered with hair; set with bristles; shaggy; hairy.
- rigamarole - an elaborate or complicated procedure
- hobbledehoy - an awkward, gawky youth
- hopscotch - to journey quicky and directly from one usually far place to another (I liked this because I had no idea it was anything other than the game)
- harrumph - to express oneself gruffly
- hoodwink - to deceive or trick
- akimbo - with hand on hip and elbow bend outward
- zugzwang - a situation in which a player is limited to only detrimental moves
- durststillend - German brewing term that translates to "thirst quenching"
- ululate - to howl; to wail
- grotesqueries - grotesque quality or grotesque things collectively
- canard - a false or unfounded report or story; a groundless rumor or belief
- arachnid - a bug with eight legs
